Join Us in Fighting Homelessness Among Local Veterans Posted in Practice News After serving our country all across the globe, many veterans come back to the United States hoping to settle down and live long, happy lives as productive members of society. Unfortunately, this dream never gets off the ground for an alarming number of former military women and men, and one of the biggest factors leading to this issue is not having a place to call home. To aid in the fight against homelessness among veterans in our own community, Bethesda Sedation Dentistry is once again participating in “Operation Homecoming”—a philanthropic project intended to provide new homes for veterans in need. Headed by the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless, “Operation Homecoming” calls for volunteers to generate a Welcome Home Kit consisting of essentials needed to ease a veteran’s life-changing transition from homelessness into a permanent home. From now through December 15th, our cosmetic dentists—Dr. Deb and Dr. Rob—invite anyone interested in helping our practice create a Welcome Home Kit to make a donation of $10 in support of this great cause. All contributions will go towards purchasing kitchenware, furniture, linens, toiletries, food, cleaning supplies, and various other items that can be helpful for veterans trying to get back on their feet. As a bonus (and to express our appreciation), each person who donates $10 will be entered into a raffle for an opportunity to win a gift basket containing top-of-the-line hygiene products valued at $350! Our veterans have served and sacrificed for us, now it’s our turn to serve them. If you wish to help Bethesda Sedation Dentistry provide a home to a local veteran, please don’t hesitate to stop by our practice before December 15th to make a donation. « Previous Post Next Post »
