Giving Back
Our sedation and cosmetic dentists—Dr. Schlossberg and Dr. Klotz—and the Dream Team at Bethesda Sedation Dentistry believe in giving back to our local and worldwide communities. As an office, we host an annual winter clothes drive and make sandwiches for the homeless. Below are organizations and events in which our team has eagerly participated and actively supported.
Mission of Mercy of Southern Maryland
The team from Bethesda Sedation Dentistry has partnered with Mission of Mercy of Southern Maryland multiple times to provide dental care to those in the community. One event, hosted at the University of Maryland, College Park, allowed us to provide much needed care to over 700 patients in a two-day span. It was an exhaustive and rewarding opportunity for us all. Other events in which we participated have allowed us to offer preventive dentistry and cleaning services, nutritional counseling, restorative fillings, and tooth extractions to those in need. The dream team and doctors plan to attend this year’s Mission of Mercy in Salisbury.
The Fisher House Program
We are proud to be affiliated with The Fisher House, located at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, and regularly support the program that donates “comfort homes” for military families who need housing while their loved ones receive specialized medical care. The team at Bethesda Sedation Dentistry understands the great circumstances that families staying at Fisher House are enduring at this difficult time. We are honored to be able to assist the Fisher House residents with emergency dental care during their stay, enabling them to spend as much time with their loved ones as possible.
Operation Smile
Bethesda Sedation Dentistry is compassionate about helping the community and organizations such as Operation Smile. One year, each of our team members put their creative touch to the test to bring a gingerbread house to life. Each house was part of a silent auction, with the proceeds being matched by Bethesda Sedation Dentistry.
WMAL’s Military Appreciation Month
We have previously participated in radio station WMAL’s Military Appreciation Month, which honors our nation’s military men and women. Bethesda Sedation Dentistry arranged to donate $100 for each new patient visit to Fisher House Foundation.
Dental Health Month
In honor of Dental Health Month, Dr. Rob and Dr. Deb spent one February teaching children the importance of brushing teeth and eating healthy foods. Dr. Deb has also attended career day at her kids’ school to inspire and educate students.
